My name is Bob Lozano, and this is my personal blog. I’ll be posting on “life, the universe, and everything … from a Catholic perspective”.

Blessed with Carol, my wife of 30+ years, eight kids who started their lives with us, four more who’ve chosen to enter the family, grandkids, friends, some who probably should not in a million years choose to be called my friend – yet have chosen to do so, a great bunch of folks helping to build a great technology startup, and a tremendous home parish (two actually).

Far more than I could hope to deserve …

Thanks for stopping by. My hope is to simply follow the mandate of St. Paul when he says that “… since we belong to the day, let us be sober, and put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:8 )

So hopefully that makes the name a little more clear. The name is not intended to express doubt, as in “I HOPE this is true”, but rather confident, complete trust that our hope is with deep, fundamental reason, as in “I will not wonder and doubt, perhaps even despair … raither I choose to HOPE”.

God bless.

    Mr. Lozano,

Thank you for the offer and opportunity to speak with you about matters of faith. From our brief encounter at my brother’s reception, I believe you to be someone who takes their faith seriously and who is knowledgeable about it. I appreciate that. Like you, I have met many who are not.

As you requested I have taken some time to consider Matthew 16, particularly verses 13-20, as well as how the Bible came to be. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you regarding both. You may contact me at phone number xxx or at my email – yyy (contact info to protect James’ privacy).

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Dear Blogger:

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, recently posted two videos on YouTube in which he describes and demonstrates the two most common abortion procedures, using plastic fetal models, the actual instruments of abortion, and the words found in medical textbooks and court testimony.

You can view these videos at:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=us_y9GP_-DA (Dismemberment abortion)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBOAPleF1t0 (Suction abortion).

These videos are part of a new project called, “Is This What You Mean?” It aims to educate the public about the nature of abortion and to challenge public officials and candidates who support the legality of abortion to admit what it is. A full description of the project is at http://www.priestsforlife.org/action/abortion-procedure-revealed.htm.

I am requesting that you post links on your blog to these two videos and/or to the full explanation of this powerful project.

We in the pro-life community have been fed up for a long time with “public servants” who can’t seem to tell the difference between serving the public and killing the public. This election season, it’s time for that to change. No matter what politicians or voters or Church officials are or are not going to do, it’s time that we who know what abortion is, draw a line in the sand and give candidates and office-holders alike this challenge.

If you will help spread the word by posting these links please email webmaster@priestsforlife.org.

    Thank you,
